If you are allowing your employees to clock on and off using the ClockOn Go app and you don't want them to be able to clock their times until they are with in a radius of your location or a location of a specific shift then you will need to allocate an address and radius (geo-fence) for this to happen. This geo-fence can be set as a default per Location that you have in ClockOn (See: Location Manager - Adding and Editing the Geo-fencing Map) or for individually rostered shifts that differ from the Times sheets location (See: Time Sheets - Adding and Editing the Geo-fencing Map)

All of the address details are entered in a web page, this allows us to take advantage of googles map API street look ups so we can help autocomplete an address.

NOTE: Updating the max distance for the default location will not update already existing timesheets, timesheets that have actual times recorded against them, rostered shifts or roster templates with the new max distance. To update these you will need to manually update each individual timesheet

The Map

This map is accessible from the location manager and will be the default geo-fence for timesheets that are added to this location

  • Add: This re-adds the geo-fence if it has been cleared.
  • Clear: This removed the geo-fence. It Keeps the address and distance information so it can be easily re-added.
  • Enter Address: Where you enter the location that the geo-fence will be around
  • Max. Distance (metres): The radius, in meters, you want set around the location
  • Blue markers: The address location on the map set by the entered address
  • Red Circle: The geo-fence perimeter around the location. This is the geo-fence area.
  • Yellow markers: (These are only on the time sheet view of the map). The yellow markers represent the employees clock on and off positions.
