Special (Manual) rates may be applied to an entire shift or part of a shift.


The image below shows an employee who will be paid for a First Aid role at a rate $20.00 for time worked between 11:00 and 12:00, then as a Team Leader at $21.50 for worked times between 14:00 and 15:30:

Adding a Manual Rate

  1. Select Time Sheets from the home tab or select the stop watch icon from the main screen.
  2. Select the employee's time sheet you want to edit
  3. Double click on the specific time sheet entry to be edited or Select the time sheet entry and Click on Edit
  4. Select the Rates button.
  5. Select Add. Various options for specifying the time range for which the rate will apply are available. Select one of the following:
    1. Add using shift times
    2. Add using custom times
    3. Add using clocked times at payroll
    4. Add using shift start/clocked end at payroll
      • Add using shift time are used as the start and end times of the rate payment.
      • Add using custom times allow the user to enter/edit the start and end times of the rate manually.
      • Add using clocked times at payroll applies the time sheet (clocked times) start and end times during payroll. The start and end time are disabled when using this option.
      • Add using shift start/clocked end at payroll applies the shift start time to the rate payment. The end time will be disabled as it is determined at payroll as per the related time sheet (clocked end time).
  6. Select a Manual Rate to enter a specific rate.
  7. Select a predefined special rate (employee must be attached to a rateset with special rates defined for this to be available).
    1. Once a special rate is chosen the predefined value is automatically used as the rate.
  8. Select Save and the time sheet will now display Time Sheet Contains Rate Changes on the left of the status bar at the bottom of the screen.
