Under the Messages section of the message centre you can view and action any requests. All new (unprocessed) requests and messages will be shown in bold under the unread section. 


Viewing a Request

  1. Select the messages filter (Unread, Inbox, Sent or Pending)
  2. Click on the Request or Message
  3. On the right hand side you will see the information about the request



Actioning Requests

 When the action request screen is displayed, there is an option to Approve or Decline the request via the Action type.   

Types of messages that can be Actioned


Leave Requests

  1. Single click on the leave request
  2. Click on the Action icon
  3. On the Action Request window you will be able to
    1. Approve or Decline the action type
    2. See what the request and leave type is
    3. View the employees current leave balance, how many hours they have requested and what the leave balance would be at this point once the leave is processed
    4. You can add a General note to the time sheet if is it approved
    5. Send the employee a message about the request.
  4. Click on Save to action the request
  5. On saving you will be promoted with a please confirm that you want to action this request and then a confirmation that the request has been auctioned, Click on OK
  6. In the messages section the response will be shown as a green APPROVED or a red DECLINED 


Unavailable Request

  1. Single click on the Unavailability request
  2. Click on the Action icon
  3. On the Action Request window you will be able to.
    1. Approve or Deny the request
    2. View the request type and recur frequency    
      NOTE: View recur allows the recurrence to be viewed. The View Recur is only available when actioning an unavailability request from the web Portal. 
    3. Send the employee a message about the request. 
  4. Click on Save to action the request
  5. On saving you will be promoted with a please confirm that you want to action this request and then a confirmation that the request has been auctioned, Click on OK
  6. In the messages section the response will be shown as a green APPROVED or a red DECLINED 
  7.  Once a request has been approved, an unavailability will be created in the employee's unavailable tab. 


Shift Request

  1. Single click on the Shift request request
  2. Click on the Action icon
  3. On the Action Request window you will be able to.
    1. Approve or Deny the request
    2. View the request type 
    3.  You can add a General note to the shift request is it approved
    4. Send the employee a message about the request.
  4.  Click on Save to action the request 
  5. On saving you will be promoted with a please confirm that you want to action this request and then a confirmation that the request has been auctioned, Click on OK
  6. In the messages section the response will be shown as a green APPROVED or a red DECLINED 
  7.  Once a request has been approved, a shift and time sheet will be created for the employee to be seen on the time sheet screen and in the rosters
