To more easily add your two factor authentication code to your mobile device you can used the Google Chrome web browser extension QR builder to quickly add your authentication secret to the device. To do this you will need to have already set up Two Factor Authentication using the Google Chrome web browser extension and installed the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device

Once this is set up you can use the web browser extension to create a QR code and then have your mobile device set up a new code using scan bar code.

Creating a QR Code

  1. Click on the  Authenticator icon in your browser, typically in the top right corner
  2. On the Code you want to add to your mobile device, click on the QR icon.
  3. This will create a QR Code for you to use with the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device

Now you have the QR Code you can use this to add the Authentication secret to your device with out needing to type this in.
