Provided you have set up a Google Gmail account ClockOn can be configured to use the Gmail email servers to send rosters, payslips, and PAYG summaries.

As ClockOn uses the direct SMTP method for sending emails you will need to adjust the following settings on your Google account to allow emails to be sent.

  1. Ensure that you can log in to the G-mail account from the server machine, this will ensure that it is a trusted device.
  2. If Two Factor Authentication is Enabled, setup Sign in using app passwords on your Google account.
  3. If Two Factor Authentication is Disabled, enable the setting to Allow less secure Apps on your Google account.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be aware that as of the 30th March 2022 Google has announced that they are removing the functionality the "Allow less secure Apps" option. As a result all accounts will need to be secured with the Two Factor Authentication and App passwords option to continue using this mail service
